The Swim4Dreams Festival takes place in Călărași between July 23 and 26, 2026, around the 72-hour back-and-forth swimming challenge and the related event activities.

The official sports competitions of the event take place on July 25, 2026, on the Siderurgic Canal / Borcea Branch, Călărași, Romania.

Starry Night Swim4Dreams is planned for the evening of July 25, 2026 and is presented separately in the event schedule, according to the official communications of the organizers.

The 72-hour challenge ends on July 26, 2026.

3. Registration and participation fees

Registration for the official races is completed online by filling in the form available on the platform and completing the checkout flow.

The available sports races are 500 m, 1,500 m, 3 km and 15 km, subject to availability.

For the 500 m, 1,500 m and 3 km races, participation is confirmed after completing the required details and confirming payment.

For the 15 km race, registration remains subject to manual approval by the organizers, even after payment confirmation.

Starry Night Swim4Dreams is not part of the standard checkout flow for the official races. Participation in this special moment is managed through direct contact with the organizers.

4. Payment

Participation fees are processed through Stripe, a secure payment service provider.

The payment methods available in the Stripe interface are accepted, including bank card and, where available, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

The organizers do not store bank card details.

Payment confirmation does not replace the manual approval required for the 15 km race.

5. Refund policy

Refunds of the participation fee may be granted only under the conditions officially communicated by the organizers.

If the event is cancelled at the initiative of the organizers, refunds will be handled according to the official policy applicable at that time.

Any refund request will be assessed in relation to the registration status, the timing of the request and the rules published by the organizers.

6. Participation conditions

Participation in the competition is at the participant’s own risk.

The participant declares that they are medically fit for intense physical effort and that they assume the risks specific to open-water swimming.

Minor participants may take part only with written consent from a parent or legal guardian.

For the 15 km race, the organizers may request proof of previous open-water experience and may refuse final approval if the requirements are not met.

7. Official rules

Participation in the event implies acceptance of the official 72 Dus-Întors Rules.

In case of conflict between these Terms and Conditions and the Official Rules, the Official Rules prevail for sports and operational matters.

8. Safety and liability

The organizers provide the operational safety framework required for the competition, including intervention teams and safety personnel.

The organizers reserve the right to modify the course, schedule or event conditions for safety reasons, weather conditions, force majeure or other objective reasons.

The decisions of the organizers and safety teams are final.

9. Image rights

Participants may be photographed or filmed during the event.

Photo and video materials may be used for communication, promotion and documentation of the Swim4Dreams project, according to the consents collected during the registration flow.

10. Club ranking

A general club ranking is established within the competition, based on the cumulative performance of officially registered athletes.

Each participant may represent only one club, declared during registration. Club affiliation cannot be changed later after the registration has been recorded.

A club is eligible for the ranking if it has at least 3 validated participants.

The organizers reserve the right to verify athlete affiliation and to cancel club points in case of incorrect declarations or attempted manipulation.

11. Data protection

Personal data is processed according to the Privacy Policy published on the website.

Data is not sold to third parties and is used exclusively for organizing the event, managing registrations, processing participation fees and communicating relevant information.

This document must remain aligned with the project’s legal documents and should be reviewed by a DPO / legal advisor before final publication.
